CHILD SUPPORT
The Texas legislature has given us "guidelines" for child support. Generally, these guidelines provide that child support will be based on a certain percentage of one's income after they pay taxes and health insurance on the children.
While an unskilled attorney may just accept the guidelines and not try to be creative, the skilled family law practitioner will constantly be looking for solutions to child support issues that benefit his or her client and the children. There are literally dozens of exceptions to the child support guidelines and you should discuss them carefully with your attorney.
The family law attorneys at the Bob Leonard Law Group are well versed on child support matters and are willing to roll up their sleeves to help you reach a fair result.
