Dr. Michael Flynn, Licensed Attorney & Psychologist

Michael Flynn is an attorney and a licensed psychologist who litigates and mediates family law and criminal cases.

In court, Michael’s knowledge of human behavior and motivation applies to cases in which a litigant's mental and emotional competence are at issue.  He works with litigants, lawyers, and the courts to assist with the successful resolution of emotionally charged legal disputes.

During the course of his clinical practice, Michael served as a litigation consultant for well over a thousand legal matters. He has assisted attorneys with jury selection, preparation for deposition, cross-examination of experts, trial theme preparation, trial strategy development, and witness preparation.  He also served as an expert witness for disputed custody, criminal competence and sentencing, testamentary competence, and personal injury matters.

Michael earned his undergraduate degree in psychology at the Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro.  Thereafter, he served with the army during the Vietnam era.  When he returned, Michael attended the University of North Texas where he earned his master’s degree and his doctorate in clinical psychology.   For the next two decades, he helped many people cope better with difficult times through his forensic clinical psychology practice.  He then earned a J.D. at the Texas Wesleyan Law School, where he also served as the treasurer and president of the Health Law Society, the president of the Christian Legal Society, and a consultant with the Innocence Project.
