Marty B. Leewright

Marty B. Leewright is a family, probate, criminal, and civil lawyer who is adept in courtroom litigation and settlement negotiation and mediation.
As a trial lawyer, Marty has represented clients in litigation and criminal prosecution. He has driven numerous trials to successful jury verdicts, and the results—including verdicts in excess of previously demanded policy limits and settlements in excess of a million dollars—speak for themselves.
Marty is also skilled in the art of negotiation and settlement. As a court-certified mediator and arbitrator, he represents numerous clients in mediation, depositions, and litigation. Marty also practices collaborative law as an alternative to traditional courtroom litigation for certain cases.
Through positions of leadership, Marty continues to distinguish himself within the legal community. He co-chairs the Tarrant County Bar Association’s Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) section. He is a charter member of the Tarrant County Association of Mediators (TCAM) and serves on the board since 2008. He was elected to the ADR Council of the State bar of Texas and has served on the arbitration, collaborative law, CLE, planning committees, Editorial Board, and publications committee.
Marty is the editor of, "Dispute Resolution Texas Style," the official ADR (mediation) publication of the State Bar of Texas, which was recently revised by the State Bar of Texas. He has published numerous legal articles and authored self-help legal booklets. He also authored an award winning legal services website and additional numerous legal publications.
Marty has conducted statutory mediation training and taught legal subjects including personal, business, and education law. As a visiting instructor at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law and Texas Woman's University, he has taught ADR to numerous law students and other legal professionals.
